By Christ! The Baby Angels
A5 casebound edition of my original A4 concertina that references William Blake’s The Nurse’s Song in The Songs of Innocence and Experience to reflect on the poignant accrued experience of transience and decay that age can neither adequately convey to youth, nor ultimately protect youth from.
Non-archival inkjet prints of original digital photographs interworked with drawing, painting, drypoint, collage, chine collé, letterpress, etching-press printed children’s wooden alphabet letters, manual typewriter on Bockingford Watercolour 190 g/m stitched onto Windsor & Newton Rag. Handbound in hard grey buckram covers with inset digital photograph that varies between copies. Open-work spine stitched with grey linen thread.
